“Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture.” – Kak Sri
Today is Thanksgiving Day. After the bad things that have happened to me over the years, how could anyone be thankful? Yet I am. My gratefulness didn’t come from the many how-to Internet sites that advertised gratitude exercises or gratitude therapy groups guaranteed to change one’s life. I just worked hard in my garden.
In the spring, I got my hands dirty preparing three plots for to grow winter squash.
During the summer I got my hands dirty tending the plants.
By September there were 50 beautiful delicata winter squashes on the vines ready for picking and sharing with my friends and community.
